Solar Eclipse In Aries: Pioneering Spirit

Eclipse season doesn’t have to be dreadful, but it does mean change. The Eclipse two weeks ago came with a shock. Right? Now on March 29 there’s a Solar Eclipse in Aries, the sign of the Warrior. It’s time to take action. To react to the change. To fight for what you’re passionate about.

Astrology Lesson: Eclipses and Lunar Nodes

The second Eclipse in 2025 happens on March 29. This is a Partial Solar New Moon Eclipse in Aries, near the North Node of fate. 

A couple weeks ago I shared what to expect during the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo near the South Node of karma. It was meant to break down policies, specifically tied to healthcare and job reform. Now we’re picking up the pieces, to start fresh.  

A way to understand how Eclipses influence your life is to look at the science and the history. An Eclipse is different from a New or Full Moon. It happens when the Sun, Moon and Earth align perfectly. This is what creates the shadow. 

A Lunar Eclipse, like the one we had on March 13, is a Full Moon. It brings a release, turning point or ending. A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon. This is what we’re having on March 29. It’s a new beginning. 

The Lunar Eclipse in Virgo on the 13th was near the South Node of karma. We needed to let something go. We either did this using Free Will, or it was eclipsed out of our lives … for our own good. The Solar Eclipse in Aries on the 29th is near the North Node of fate. It’s what we need to embrace to move forward with our life purpose. 

The North and South Nodes are not planets. They’re points in space calculated by the Moon’s orbit. The North Node represents what we need to learn to perform at our best. The South Node is what feels comfortable, but keeps us stuck. We need to let go to perform at our best. 

The North and South Nodes change axis every 18 months. This means, they move into a new Zodiac sign to teach us something new (North Node of fate), and help us let go (South Node of karma) of something keeping us stuck. 

Between July 17, 2023 and January 11, 2025, the North Node was in Aries, and the South Node was in Libra. This was a time of “me” versus “we.” 

Aries is independent. He wanted us to build confidence. The North Node in Aries was teaching us not to need validation from others. 

Libra represents balance. He wanted better relationships. The South Node in Libra pushed us to let go of people and situationships that were holding us back. 

Now between January 11, 2025 and July 26, 2026, the North Node is in Pisces, and the South Node is in Virgo. 

Pisces is compassionate. She wants us to relax. The North Node in Pisces is teaching us to embrace the flow of life. 

Virgo is meticulous. She wants structure. The South Node in Virgo is pushing us to let go of control and perfectionism. Specifically in the South Node, it’s about our inner-critic. 

The North Node Solar Eclipse in Aires on March 29 is tied to the South Node Solar Eclipse in Libra on October 2, because they’re on the same axis – Aries North Node / Libra South Node. Both are fresh starts, but here’s the difference. 

In October, something new started, even if it was just a mindset shift. We needed to balance (Libra) our needs with the needs of others. Since it involved the South Node, in order to balance our relationships – romantic, business and friendships – we either needed to let go of being selfish, or stop people-pleasing. 

Now on March 29th, we get another fresh start. This one is tied to the North Node in Aries. So a fated event will teach us how to be more self-reliant, and not care what other people think. It closes out the cycle. 

Since we’re still in Venus Retrograde, let’s use love as an example. The Solar Eclipse could be the beginning of a relationship. It could also be about awareness. Maybe  the fated event opens your eyes to what you deserve in love. 

You need to look at your birth chart to see where Aries lands to know how the energy will impact your life. You can Google free birth charts. You’ll need your date of birth, location of birth and TIME of birth. Never, ever will a Whole Sign reading replace a personal reading using the Placidus system. But dividing the chart into 12 equal parts is the only way to give mass readings, and that’s why when you watch videos online, astrologers use the Whole House system. It at least provides some perspective. Now, let’s just quickly run through some global predictions. 

Global Predictions: Solar Eclipse In Aries

During the Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29, there could be a collective push. The North Node wants us to move into the future. The combination of the North Node in Aries represents “pioneering spirit.” 

So all those bold ideas and unexpected announcements mid-March will now launch. New leaders, new policies, new movements. Power will change hands. 

Aries is the sign of the Warrior. His energy will remove anything, or anyone standing the way – without hesitation. 

Entrepreneurial ventures and startups may take center stage. Founders will be encouraged to break new ground (Uranus in Taurus), and disrupt the status quo (Pluto in Aquarius) with their ideas and technologies. Specifically in healthcare, or anything that provides a global solution (South Node in Virgo). 

I’ll keep saying it. Political figures could shift, whether through elections, appointments or sudden resignations. 

Defense, and global security discussions might intensify. 

I also believe we’ll see more activism focused on personal rights, and self-reliance. People, and countries, will not be shy about stating their terms, and challenging others. 

The best way to work with this energy is to stay alert, and face the change. That’s Aries, the Warrior.
